Paul Akinmade, Executive MBA'14
Senior Vice President of Marketing at CMG Financial
“The EMBA program had a significant impact on my career. Having the degree allowed for certain doors to be opened within my organization, where I was given the opportunity to manage much higher levels of responsibility. I was able to exceed expectations of those around me partly due to my new approach to assessing problems through structured methodologies that presented clear and definitive paths for both needed changes and execution. My ability to consistently do this created opportunities outside my organization. Those opportunities are still present as I am a senior executive now at one of the top 10 private lenders in the nation.”
Lenka Hennessy, Executive MBA'16
Director of Marketing and Business Development at Amtrak
“I was impressed that from day one as EMBA students we had multiple opportunities to network with global business leaders in a variety of ways and industries. This included group projects, various alumni channels, access to industry career advisors and expert panels, all the way to speaker series on topics relevant to our studies. Being part of this program enabled me to create sustainable relationships that are not only key to my personal development, but a key to my future career success.”
Ranjeet Shetty, Executive MBA'16
Senior Technical Program Manager at OneWeb
“One year into my EMBA, my management saw the added value in my contributions and charged me with the transformation of business processes to increase efficiency and improve quality. The program exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The professors were extremely dedicated and took a personal interest in our success. The international residencies were real-life projects that allowed us to apply all the skills we learned. But best of all are the deep and meaningful relationships I have created with my cohort, professors, staff, and alumni.”
President, Publisher, and Co-founder of Arlington Magazine
"Your classmates are your crutch. There's a 'leave-no-man-behind' mentality. It's not just about figuring out how to be a better business person."
"I am a more confident business leader, trainer, and coach because of my Georgetown Executive MBA."
Alumni Lifelong Learning
At Georgetown McDonough, we believe that leaders never graduate. This thinking has inspired the creation of our Lifelong Learning initiative, which supports the professional and personal growth of our alumni forever.
Drawing from the Jesuit principle of cura personalis, or educating the whole person, we are committed to providing our students a transformational experience for life. Our Lifelong Learning program enables executive degree alumni to come back to class and audit up to one elective course per year with current Executive MBA students.
As a result, our alumni attain new business competencies, reconnect with faculty and peers, and extend their professional networks outside of their program and cohort.
