Kerry Pace, Associate Dean

Pace is responsible for achieving the strategic mission of the MBA Programs department, which is to create an overall exceptional experience for MBA students. In addition, she oversees student support services for the Full-time and Evening MBA Programs and works closely with the Program Office team to oversee academic advising, monitor students’ academic progress, support international students, and coordinate course schedules and registration, co-curricular events, extra-curricular activities, and student organizations.

 

Lisa Kahn, Director of Academic Affairs

Kahn advises Full-time and Evening Program students and works with all academic advisors on policies and procedures, student communications, team assignments, academic performance tracking, class scheduling support, and graduation. Prior to her arrival at Georgetown McDonough, Kahn worked for nearly 10 years at Johns Hopkins University’s Graduate School of International Relations in both student life and academic affairs. She began her career in academic affairs at Harvard University. Kahn received a bachelor’s in psychology and government from Dartmouth College and master’s in higher education from Harvard University. She grew up in New Jersey and considers New England her second home after Washington, D.C. She enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and watching tennis and baseball.

 

Chelsea Theis, Director of Operations and Student Services

Theis has worked at Georgetown University for eight years and is an academic advisor for Full-time and Evening Program cohorts. Theis coordinates operations and programming for the MBA student population.  Prior to her arrival at Georgetown, Theis worked in higher education textbook publishing at John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Also, she has worked as a program manager for the George Washington University's Annual Fund, where she was responsible for annual fundraising efforts totaling $700,000. Theis holds a bachelor's degree from Ithaca College and a master's degree from Georgetown University.

 

Lauren Gagliardi, Associate Director

Gagliardi serves as an associate director in the MBA Program Office and has been at Georgetown for over five years, having previously worked in Georgetown's Center for Student Engagement. Gagliardi serves as an advisor to 17 clubs and supports co-curricular events, club budgets, and finances for all MBA student groups. She earned a B.S. in middle childhood education from Miami University, an M.Ed. in student personnel in higher education from the University of Florida, and an MPS in emergency and disaster management from Georgetown University.

 

Laura Erikson, Assistant Director

Erikson serves as assistant director for the MBA Program Office. She works on orientation, fellows programs, and operations. Erikson serves as an advisor for Full-time and Evening Program cohorts, as well as 15 student organizations and the Evening Student Government Association. Erikson has a B.A. in communications and German with a minor in psychology from Albion College in Michigan, as well as an M.A. in higher education administration from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Emily van der Linde, Assistant Director

Van der Linde serves as an assistant director in the MBA Program Office. She supports the registration component of the MBA student experience, Opening Term, and the community fellows. She began her career in higher education at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business advising MBA students and has experience outside higher ed at Gensler and the Smithsonian. Van der Linde received her MBA from the University of Tampa and a B.A. in art history from the University of Florida. She comes to Georgetown as an entrepreneur, having started her own calligraphy and design business. 

 

Shauntell Pinckney, Program Manager

Pinckney serves as program manager for the MBA Program Office. Pinckney has a B.A. in English with a minor in African American studies from Georgetown University. After graduating, she worked as the executive assistant to the dean of Georgetown University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. She currently is pursuing a Master's in Public Policy in the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University.

 

Marva Vickerie, Office Coordinator

Vickerie supports all office administrative activities and student relationships. She joined the Georgetown MBA Program Office in June 2013 after four years as the MBA Career Center coordinator and a 16-year career as a senior recruiter with the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (INTELSAT). Vickerie earned a general studies certificate from the University of London. Her hobbies include spending time with family, travel, dancing, Zumba, and Bollywood workouts.
