Alumni Success, Global Focus, CSR Themes Lead MBA to #17 Rank by the Financial Times
In the latest Financial Times Global MBA Ranking, Georgetown McDonough’s Full-time MBA program is 17th in the United States and 29th in the world, thanks to high marks in alumni success metrics, its global focus, and incorporation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) themes in core courses.
“With a new metric on CSR in addition to its emphasis on global education, the Financial Times ranking continues to recognize Georgetown McDonough for its world-class business education and its emphasis on values-based, well-rounded education,” said Prashant Malaviya, senior associate dean for MBA programs. “The strength of our program also is reflected in our strong performance in alumni career metrics.”
In the ranking’s measurement of international experience, Georgetown McDonough ranks 3rd in the United States behind only Yale and Dartmouth – due in large part to its required Global Business Experience and expanding portfolio of international career treks. It also is 8th among U.S. schools in the new CSR ranking. In addition, the school rose in its ranks for alumni salary increases, the percentage of students employed within three months of graduation, the percentage of women faculty members, and the international mobility of students after graduation.
The Financial Times places a strong emphasis on the success of alumni three years after graduation, as well as the international character and diversity of the school. It collects data from surveys of alumni and business schools.
