International Business Certificate Expands to MBA Evening Program
The International Business Diplomacy Honors Certificate is now available to Evening MBA students at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. Offered in partnership with the Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy (new window) (IBD) through Georgetown’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, the certificate program trains students for work at the intersection of international public and private sector activities.
This highly competitive, interdisciplinary course of study complements the MBA degree with such areas as international relations, political economy, and international trade. IBD classes combine an intensive case method approach to global corporate operations with an analysis of key economic and political issues in international trade, finance, and investment. Students also must pass a proficiency exam in at least one foreign language.
The Landegger Program provides career coaching, skills workshops, alumni networking, and recruiting opportunities. MBAs that participate in the certificate also enjoy co-curricular programming, including access to practitioner lunch lectures and special events.
The IBD certificate has been available to Full-time MBA students since 1994. Since then, nearly 150 MBA students have graduated with the honors certificate.
