MBA Program Office Staff
Kerry Pace, Associate Dean
Dean Pace is responsible for achieving the strategic mission of the MBA Program Office at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, which is to create a transformational and overall exceptional experience for MBA students. In her role, Pace oversees student support services for the Full-time and Evening/Flex MBA Programs and works closely with the Program Office team to help guide academic advising and monitor students’ academic progress. She also drives initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion, gender equity, and leadership development. She is particularly focused on ensuring MBA students have opportunities for reflection and holistic growth while at McDonough. Pace has supported and advocated for graduate students at Georgetown University for over twenty years. She received a bachelor’s degree in religious studies and political science from Indiana University and a master’s degree in higher education from Louisiana State University.
Lisa Kahn, Director of Academic Affairs
Kahn advises Full-time, Flex and Evening Program students and works with all academic advisors on policies and procedures, student communications, academic performance, and graduation. Prior to her arrival at Georgetown McDonough in 2014, Kahn worked for nearly 10 years at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Relations in both student life and academic affairs. She began her career in academic affairs at Harvard University. Kahn received a bachelor’s in psychology and government from Dartmouth College and master’s in higher education from Harvard University. She grew up in New Jersey, and enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and watching tennis and baseball.
Chelsea Theis, Director of Operations and Student Services
Theis has worked at Georgetown University since 2010 and is an academic advisor for Full-time and Evening Program cohorts. Theis coordinates operations and programming for the MBA student population. Prior to her arrival at Georgetown, Theis worked in higher education textbook publishing at John Wiley & Sons, Inc. She was also a program manager for the George Washington University’s Annual Fund, where she was responsible for annual fundraising efforts totaling $700,000. Theis holds a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and a master’s degree from Georgetown University.
Laura Erikson, Associate Director
Erikson has worked at Georgetown University since 2016. She leads student organization operations and initiatives, leadership and workshop training, and supports Program Office and student organization operations. Erikson serves as an advisor for Full-time and Evening Program cohorts, 10+ student organizations, and both MBA Student Government Associations. Erikson has a B.A. in communications and German with a minor in psychology from Albion College in Michigan, a certificate from HBX CORe, and an M.A. in higher education administration from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Emily van der Linde, Assistant Director
Van der Linde serves as an Assistant Director in the MBA Program Office. She is an advisor to Full-time and Evening Program cohorts as well as multiple clubs. She leads the registration component of the MBA student experience, Opening Term, Graduation, and the Community Fellows program. With over 7 years of higher education and talent management experience, van der Linde also comes to Georgetown as an entrepreneur, having started her own calligraphy and design business. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Art History and an MBA from the John H. Sykes School of Business. A Florida native but DMV resident for almost a decade, van der Linde has come to enjoy DC winters, VA wineries, and MD crabs.
Alicia Thomas, Assistant Director
Thomas serves as an Assistant Director in the MBA Program Office. She is an advisor to Full-time and Flex cohorts, as well as several student organizations. Thomas has worked in higher education for 10 years at the University of Maryland, College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences. She holds a bachelors degree from the University of Maryland in Economics and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business with a focus in non-profit management. Thomas was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is, of course, a Steelers fan.
Kelly McGrath, Assistant Director
McGrath serves as an Assistant Director in the MBA Program Office. She is an academic advisor who supports the international student population and oversees various academic processes such as cross-registration and exam coordination. Prior to Georgetown, she served as an academic advisor for international students at American University and supported orientation initiatives at the University of Notre Dame. McGrath earned her B.A. in Communications and International Studies from Boston College and her M.A. in International Education from NYU. She is a native Long Islander and former college swimmer who enjoys spending time at the beach and traveling.
Mary Dare Martin, Program Manager
Martin serves as program manager for the MBA Program Office. Martin provides integral support services to a variety of initiatives, such as student organizations, orientation, events, exams, alumni outreach, office operations, and more. Martin graduated from North Carolina State University in May 2019 with a B.A. in Media Communication and double minors in journalism and English. She enjoys coffee, trips to Trader Joe’s, and binge watching the show Friends.
Marva Vickerie, Office Coordinator
Vickerie supports office administrative activities and student relationships. She joined the Georgetown MBA Program Office in June 2013 after four years as the MBA Career Center coordinator and a 16-year career as a senior recruiter with the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (INTELSAT). Vickerie earned a general studies certificate from the University of London. Her hobbies include spending time with family and travel.
