Scholarships and Fellowships

Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fund Fellowship

The Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fund provides fellowships to fund advanced education and graduate study carried out entirely in the U.S. The fellowships are to be awarded only to candidates who have outstanding undergraduate records, have demonstrated a need for financial assistance, are U.S. citizens enrolled in accredited colleges and universities in the U.S. and have received baccalaureate degrees.

Bryce Harlow Fellowship (EMBA and MA-IBP Applicants)

Bryce Harlow Fellowships are awarded by the Bryce Harlow Foundation to individuals who work full-time and undertake graduate-level studies on a part-time basis. Graduate programs may include, but are not limited to, public policy, law, and business. The $8,000 award will help defray tuition costs and will be paid directly to the university in two installments. In addition to the monetary award, fellows also have a unique opportunity to participate in the Bryce Harlow Foundation Mentoring Program, an offering that pairs a fellow with one of the Foundation’s board members.

Bepina Sabalic Kunin Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Bepina Sabalic Kunin Endowed Scholarship Fund was established at Georgetown University in September 2011 with the intention of supporting Catholic Croatian students pursuing degrees in selected graduate and professional programs. Mrs. Kunin’s wish was that the recipients of this scholarship devote some of their post-graduate career to Croatia and ultimately use their knowledge and skills to improve the lives of Croatian citizens, by strengthening universities, schools, businesses, organizations or governmental bodies.

Both master’s and doctoral students are eligible to apply. These grants may be used toward supplies, travel, and other research expenses such as training, archival research or data collection, or travel to a laboratory, associated with furthering or completing a dissertation, thesis, or other research project. Students are allowed only one GRPA per academic year.

Scholarship Opportunities for Military-Connected Students

Georgetown University offers a number of scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate students with connections to the military. Learn more about institutional aid.

Mujica Veteran Stipend

The Mujica Student Veteran Stipend is a $3,500 grant to be given once a year to a student veteran (not a military spouse or child) enrolled in at least six credit hours per semester in a graduate degree program in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (including the School of Foreign Service, School of Nursing and Health Studies, McCourt School of Public Policy, and the McDonough School of Business), preferably in an area of importance to national security, including, but by no means limited to, science, mathematics, security, diplomacy, government, languages, biomedical sciences, business, etc. These funds shall be used for tuition and mandatory lab fees and no other purpose.

The Pat Tillman Foundation Scholars Program

Founded in 2004, the Pat Tillman Foundation invests in military veterans and their spouses through academic merit-based scholarships – building a diverse community of leaders committed to service to others. The scholars chosen show extraordinary academic and leadership potential, a true sense of vocation, and a deep commitment to create positive change through their work in the fields of medicine, law, business, education and the arts.

Georgetown University is considered as a University Partner and collaborates with the Pat Tillman Foundation to select Tillman Scholars each year. Award amounts are determined by the Pat Tillman Foundation on a case-by-case basis to meet the needs of each scholar.

The Marine Corps GU Scholarship

This scholarship was donated in 2004 by the King family to honor the men and women of the United States Marine Corps and to provide scholarships to eligible Main Campus undergraduates who demonstrate financial need for Georgetown scholarship aid.

The Schorr Endowed Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was donated in support of the 1789 Scholarship Imperative for the Georgetown scholarship program, which provides aid to undergraduates who demonstrate financial need.

Preference in the selection of recipients is given to students who are enrolled in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS) and who are veterans of the United States Military.

If, in any year, there are no students who meet the immediately preceding preference, then we prefer that the Fund support students who are enrolled in Georgetown College of Arts & Sciences (COL), the McDonough School of Business (MSB), or the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) and who are veterans of the United States Military.
