MBA Venture Capital Team Wins Top Prize at International Competition
The Georgetown McDonough team composed of MBA students Neal Foley, Sherief Khalil, Ryan Hill, Sara Zulkosky, and Selman Altun, placed first at the 2013 Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) international finals held April 11-13.
Sixty of the best business schools in the world participated in the 2013 VCIC, where a panel of venture capitalists from across the country judged each team based on how well they analyzed startup companies, interviewed entrepreneurs, structured a deal, and negotiated terms. Winning teams from the 10 regional VCICs qualify to compete in the international finals. Georgetown McDonough won the 2013 Mid Atlantic VCIC in February.
