Undergrad Student Venture Voted D.C.’s ‘Hottest Start-up’

Encore, a marketing company founded by Georgetown University McDonough School of Business seniors James Li, Michael Hauser, and Michael Dee, and freshman Tammy Cho , was voted “D.C.’s Hottest Start-up” among 25 competitors at the DCWEEK Mixer & Startup Showcase organized by tech media company Tech Cocktail.

Li, Hauser, Dee, and Cho, along with Cheng Gong of Harvard University, are co-founders of Encore, a highly visual e-mail newsletter system allowing non-profits to share their staff’s stories with potential donors. The start-up also provides non-profits with detailed analytics about donor behavior. Encore also won second place in the Hoya Challenge for the Social Track.
