Christopher Caminti WELCOME TO GEORGETOWN!

Hi! My name is Chris Caminiti and I am a McDonough peer ambassador.

Hometown: Westfield, NJ

Class: 2019

Major: Finance, & OPIM; Minor: Economics

Extracurricular Activities: Here at Georgetown, I am the Chief Operating Officer for the Corp, and I am a member of Corp Capital

Interesting Fact About Me: I am a huge baseball fan and I have been to 20 of the 30 MLB ballparks. I support the real New York baseball team, the New York Mets.

What made you choose Georgetown's McDonough School of Business? I decided to come to Georgetown because I wanted a top tier business education in a world-class city. Both Georgetown and the city of Washington DC have lived up to expectations.

What are the best things about being a Hoya? The best part about being a Hoya is the Georgetown community. People at Georgetown love where they go to school and don’t hesitate to tell people about it. Whether at basketball games or out in the Washington DC community, Hoya’s are easy to spot and I love that part of Georgetown.

Why do you love D.C.? I love DC because it is a big city with a small town feel. From runs to the monuments, going to Nats games to exploring the food scene of the city, Washington D.C. always proves to have endless options without feeling too imposing.

Share a defining and/or transformative classroom/educational moment? My First year seminar in the Fall semester of my first year has defined my Georgetown experience thus far. In a small classroom setting with Professor Daly, I was able to truly expand my understanding of the wide applications of analyzing businesses and the growth of an industry.

What is your advice to incoming Hoyas? Your first year will fly by, trust me. Just makes sure that you are seizing every opportunity available to students on the hilltop, whether that is academic, extracurricular or social.
