What made you choose Georgetown's McDonough School of Business? I fell in love with Georgetown the moment I walked on campus. When I stepped into Hariri, I was completely mesmerized by the building. One year later, at my GAAP weekend, I was completely sold on the school after hearing about all the great opportunities that would be available to me here.
What are the best things about being a Hoya? The sense of community at Georgetown is one of my favorite things about being a Hoya. Everyone here is excited about our school, and all of the professors and faculty care so much about the students and do everything they can to help all of the students do our best.
Why do you love D.C.? There is always something new to explore in D.C. It’s always busy, always exciting, and always filled with things to do.
Share a defining and/or transformative classroom/educational moment? In my first-year business seminar, my professor used to take days to go off of the curriculum to teach us about the basics of accounting, what was going on in the economy right now, or what we should do on our first job interview. These days were incredibly interesting and rewarding learning experiences.
What is your advice to incoming Hoyas? Try everything you possibly can at Georgetown. This school has so much to offer, so take advantage of it. Don’t be afraid to fail, because sometimes you have to fail at first in order to succeed.
