Hi! My name is Field Daniel and I am a McDonough peer ambassador.

Class: 2019

Major: Finance, & International Business

Extracurricular Activities: Georgetown University Student Investment Fund, Georgetown Intramural Sports Department, McDonough Peer Ambassadors

Interesting Fact about Me: I’m an Eagle Scout.

What made you choose Georgetown's McDonough School of Business? I chose Georgetown, and McDonough specifically, because of the international focus on the global business landscape. I wanted to get out of my home state and I felt that Georgetown gave me an international exposure that I couldn’t find anywhere else.

What are the best things about being a Hoya? First, I’d say the students and the culture at Georgetown push all of us to do our best and achieve great heights. Secondly, I love being able to go to events that are unique to Georgetown, like seeing speakers such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Former VP Joe Biden.

Why do you love D.C.? I love DC because I’ve been able to see and attend events that no one else outside of DC can. I’ve been to Wizards, Nationals, and Redskins games, as well as the recent presidential inauguration.

Share a defining and/or transformative classroom/educational moment?  Last summer I had the opportunity to study abroad in Hong Kong. It was a life changing experience both in and out of the classroom. I’d say that that experience as a whole was a transformative educational experience in which I gained a new global perspective.

What is your advice to incoming Hoyas? Your time on the Hilltop flies by, make the most of it -- try not to study too hard.
