Interesting Fact About Me: My favorite hobby is water skiing!

What made you choose Georgetown's McDonough School of Business?  I chose the McDonough School of Business because of its amazing academic opportunities and global focus. Georgetown’s proximity to Washington D.C., one of the most influential and multicultural cities in the world, opens the door to unique internships and jobs at leading government agencies, corporations, and nonprofit organizations.

What are the best things about being a Hoya?  The best thing about being a Hoya is that anything is possible! Georgetown students have access to incredible resources and mentors, as well as a community of peers and teachers who want to see you succeed!

Why do you love D.C.? I love D.C. because it’s impossible to get bored! Just during my first year, I was able to listen to Joe Biden speak at Gaston Hall and attend the Presidential Inauguration! It’s incredibly exciting to live in the nation’s capital, and I can’t wait for the experiences to come!

Share a defining and/or transformative classroom/educational moment? During my first year at Georgetown, I recognized the many benefits of collaborating with my peers. My classmates are extremely knowledgeable, and collaborating exposes me to their innovative thought processes. If I’m puzzled, a peer can talk me through a concept, and, likewise, I can explain a different problem to them.

What is your advice to incoming Hoyas? Keep in mind that everyone faces challenges during their first-year of college. If you are ever overwhelmed by a new subject or being away from home, remember that many of your peers feel the same way. Never hesitate to reach out to your friends, peer ambassador, teachers, or dean!
