What made you choose Georgetown's McDonough School of Business?
Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business offers a great balance of a liberal arts and business education. I have had some fascinating professors and learning from them is such a great honor. McDonough emphasizes teamwork, which brings you together with your classmates and offers a collaborative learning experience.
What are the best things about being a Hoya?
The stellar location of Georgetown’s campus! We are in a beautiful sector of our nation’s capital that is home to many delicious restaurants and dessert places. Meeting with my friends at the beautiful front gates and going to eat at one of our favorite places is something I look forward to each week.
Why do you love D.C.?
There is so much to do when you have free time. I really enjoy biking and have discovered bike trails that take you all over Virginia and Maryland. If you are free, going for an adventure to the monuments or waterfront is something unique to our campus location.
Share a defining and/or transformative classroom/educational moment?
My professor for one of my accounting courses received one of the top ten highest scores on the national CPA exam. Knowing that made me excited to learn from her as a true expert in the material and someone who really cares about sharing her experiences.
What is your advice to incoming Hoyas?
Get involved with your professors, peers, and extracurricular activities! The people in the Georgetown community are all very supportive and love to help others. There is something for everyone to get involved in which will enhance the Georgetown experience.
