What made you choose Georgetown's McDonough School of Business?
I loved the integration with the liberal arts curriculum and focus on the person. I knew that if I went to Georgetown I would not only graduate with the academic skills to succeed, but with the character to succeed as well. The awesome location didn’t hurt either!
What are the best things about being a Hoya?
Definitely the people. Not only is everyone willing to help each other, making it really easy to get to know your classmates, everyone has had such different and unique experiences that you are constantly learning new things from each other.
Why do you love D.C.?
I love D.C. because I get to see the sunrise over the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument on my morning jog or row almost every day. It so amazing that such national landmarks are right at our fingertips.
Share a defining and/or transformative classroom/educational moment?
My first year seminar was about how capitalism allowed for major league sports to form. It was a small class with a great professor that pushed us to really think critically. I loved learning about the business side of sports and why some leagues work while others don’t.
What is your advice to incoming Hoyas?
Meet as many people as you can in the first few weeks! Everyone wants to meet everyone and it’s so much fun to meet people from all over the world!
