Doreen Amorosa, Associate Dean and Managing Director MBA Career Center
As the associate dean and managing director of the Georgetown MBA Career Center, Doreen Amorosa serves as the faculty liaison and is responsible for managing the MBA Career Center strategy and team direction, as well as student, faculty, alumni, and university relationships within the McDonough School of Business. In addition to these efforts, Amorosa manages recruiting strategies, networking opportunities, and employer relationship development globally.
Prior to her career at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, Amorosa served as the vice president for global recruitment and workforce planning at American Express, where she managed the recruitment strategy both within the United States and globally. Her experience also includes serving as the vice president of resourcing at ICI; director of talent acquisition at Avaya; and more than 20 years of experience working with Merrill Lynch, where she oversaw recruitment, staffing, diversity initiatives, and HR policy. Amorosa holds an MBA from Seton Hall University and earned a BSBA degree in management from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. Throughout the last half of her corporate experience, Amorosa was a member of the McDonough School of Business Board of Advisors.
Patty Buchek, Senior Assistant Dean MBA Career Center
As a senior assistant dean with the MBA Career Center and director of Executive Career Development, Patty facilitates career transitions for MBAs at all levels, worldwide. Her work authoring career courseware and coaching business leaders through career development, is supported by decades of experience in talent search and human resource management. Patty’s forte is in career communications and how best to bring candidate assets to the talent market across media. She is particularly skilled at chiseling out and building up the strongest story line, then setting the strategy for career change, whether that involves internal or external candidacy. Patty is a Certified Career Management Coach and Certified Personal Brand Strategist. She earned an Executive Master’s in Leadership from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s in Honors Philosophy and Politics from Catholic University.
Lauren Triplett, Operations Coordinator
As the operations coordinator, Lauren manages the logistics and operations for the MBA Career Center and supports the Energy, Clean Technology, Government, Not-for-Profit, Social Impact, International Development, Consumer Goods & Retail, Healthcare, and Manufacturing & Transportation industries' recruiting activities. Prior to joining Georgetown, she worked at The University of Louisville's and Bellarmine University's undergraduate Career Development Centers. Her professional experience includes client relationship management, business development and student affairs. Lauren is originally from South Carolina where she earned a B.S. in Health Science from Clemson University before earning an M.Ed. in College Student Personnel from The University of Louisville.

Diana Banks, Associate Director Employer Development
As associate director, Diana is focused on employer development and alumni and functional coaching. Diana brings more than 20 years experience in corporate america serving in a variety of roles with escalating responsibility at Reuters America, Bowne Financial Services and most recently American Express. At Amex, Diana was Vice President of Global Consulting, leading a team responsible for executing strategic engagements for Fortune 500 firms. Diana earned her BBA from Baruch College, and her MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Business, Northwestern University.

Maureen Carpenter, Director Financial Services, Real Estate and Hospitality Industries
Maureen Carpenter leads relationship building with employers and students interested in Financial Services, Real Estate and Hospitality. Maureen joined the McDonough Career Center from the NYU Stern Office of Career Development where she was the Director of Relationship Management, responsible for creating and expanding opportunities for Stern students by building strategic partnerships with diverse organizations.
Prior to joining Stern, Maureen was a Vice President in Operations at Credit Suisse Securities and Goldman, Sachs & Company where she specialized in oversight of core control functions, business process improvement, campus recruitment, project management, and staff development. Maureen received her MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business and her BA in Economics from Georgetown University.

Karen Kouagou, Associate Director Energy & Cleantech, Government, Not-for-Profit/Social Impact, and International Development Industries
Karen has a broad international consulting background primarily in human resources in both corporate and nonprofit organizations, most recently as an executive recruiter at the World Bank. Throughout her career – which has spanned temporary staffing, executive search, private sector, multinational and outplacement companies – Karen has specialized in recruitment and training. Fluent in French, her global perspective has been enhanced by experiences as a host family, university exchange student, and expatriate. Karen holds a Master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary. Karen is the Co-Founder of the Benin Education Fund (BEF), a 501(c)3 organization that supports needy students in West Africa.

Larry Verbiest, Associate Director Consulting Industry
Larry is the associate director who leads relationship building with employers and students interested in consulting. Larry joined the Georgetown MBA Career Center following a 22-year career as an officer in the U.S. Army, more than seven years in consulting with Booz Allen Hamilton, and subsequently as the executive director of a nonprofit organization. Highlights of his military service included being assigned to the staff and faculty at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and commanding a tank battalion at Fort Knox, Kentucky. At Booz Allen Hamilton, he led interdisciplinary teams of consultants on contracts within the human capital and health markets and he was very involved with employee recruiting. Larry holds a B.S. from the United States Military Academy, an M.A. in International Policy Studies from Stanford University, and an MPA from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He also completed a Change Management certification program at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

Angela Williams, Associate Director Consumer Goods & Retail, Healthcare and Manufacturing & Transportation Industries
Angela serves as the associate director focused on careers in Consumer Packaged Goods, Healthcare and Retail. Angela spent her 15 year career in marketing working internationally and domestically for companies like Procter & Gamble, Kraft (Nabisco), GlaxoSmithKline, and Capital One, where she managed brands and created new products and services. Angela earned her BS in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University and her MBA in Marketing and Management from New York University where she was a Consortium Fellow.

Eric Young, Assistant Dean Technology, Media, Entertainment, & Sports Industries and Entrepreneurship
Eric is the director who leads relationship building with employers and students interested in the technology, media, entertainment and sports, and manufacturing and transportation industries. He also coaches Entrepreneurship students. Eric joined the Georgetown MBA Career Center following a 20-year international career at Accenture, where he began as a technology consultant and served in various human resources roles across the United States, India and Canada, ultimately responsible for leading career development and people initiatives for 15,000 individuals across Accenture's 12 corporate functions in 52 countries. Eric holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland, an M.A. in organizational management from The George Washington University and a Certificate in Corporate Leadership from Georgetown University.
