Lauren Apicella
Director of Alumni Relations
As Director of Alumni Relations, Lauren Apicella oversees and manages alumni engagement, with programs like the PILLARs Program and signature events such as the Graduate Alumni Reunion Weekend and John Carroll Weekend. She works throughout Georgetown McDonough to improve communications and engagement with alumni, providing more opportunities for alumni to connect with faculty and students as well as network with fellow alumni. Prior to Georgetown, Lauren worked in nonprofit development and communications. She earned her B.A. from the College of William & Mary and her MBA from Georgetown McDonough.
As Alumni Relations Marketing Coordinator, Abby oversees our marketing and communications efforts with alumni including email, newsletters, social media, and digital content. She works to highlight and celebrate the Georgetown McDonough alumni and community. Prior to Georgetown McDonough, Abby worked in higher education and collegiate athletics in marketing and communications. She earned her B.A. from Concordia College at Moorhead and her M.P.S. from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies.
As Associate Dean and Chief External Affairs Officer, Elie Farhat is responsible for connecting the school’s alumni, external, and corporate audiences. Before becoming Chief External Affairs, Elie was the Chief Admissions Officers for Graduate Programs at Georgetown McDonough, where he was responsible for all recruitment and admissions functions for the graduate programs. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Merrimack College and his Master’s in International Relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
