$3M Gift Establishes Chair and Fund for Business of Health Initiative at McDonough School of Business

Recognizing the impact the business world can have on healthcare, Peter N. “Pete” (B’78) and Kay Crnkovich (Parents’11, ’13) established the Crnkovich Family Endowed Business of Health Chair and Crnkovich Family Endowed Business of Health Chair Fund with a $3 million gift to Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business.

A group of alumni recently raised more than $100,000 to establish the MBA Class of 1997 Endowed MBA Scholarship Fund to support the advancement of Full-time MBA students in Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business.

Sara Martinez

Assistant Dean, Alumni Relations & Corporate Partnerships

As Assistant Dean, Sara Martinez oversees and manages both alumni engagement and corporate partnerships, providing opportunities for connection. Her team coordinates alumni events, resources, and volunteer leadership, as well as corporate support for events and learning experiences. Prior to Georgetown, Martinez worked in consulting and strategy roles at organizations including PwC and American Express. She earned her B.A. from Dartmouth College and her MBA from Columbia University.

Elie Farhat

Associate Dean, Chief External Affairs, Alumni Relations, Corporate Engagement, and Custom Executive Education Officer

As Associate Dean and Chief External Affairs Officer, Elie Farhat is responsible for connecting the school’s alumni, external, and corporate audiences. Before becoming Chief External Affairs, Farhat was the Chief Admissions Officers for Graduate Programs at Georgetown McDonough, where he was responsible for all recruitment and admissions functions for the graduate programs. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Merrimack College and his Master’s in International Relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.

Macarena Osorio

Assistant Director, Alumni Relations

As Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, Macarena Osorio supports alumni communications, resources, and events. Prior to joining the Alumni Relations team, she worked at the Center for Mathematical Modeling as a researcher and at the Universidad de Chile as an adjunct professor. Osorio brings experience in several fields, including academic and curricular management, engineering, research, and university education.
