Tell us about your internship.

Culture Trip Ltd. is a global startup operating in travel, media, and entertainment. I presided over market research in support of the company’s expansion into China. I assessed market potential in terms of growth and trends, compiled customer portrait and travel preferences through online surveys, and studied China’s inbound tourism market and millennial travelers in detail to interpret the characteristics of prospective users. In addition, I performed competitive analysis on online content platforms to explore niche market opportunities and analyzed the landscape of multi-channel network agencies in search of potential partnerships.

How does the organization or industry relate to your professional or personal interests?

The scope of this internship involved lots of market research which aligns with my career interests.

How did you find the internship?

Through my network — an alum at my undergrad school

What’s the coolest thing you’ve done so far this academic year?

Moving to the United States after four years in Beijing (I was born and raised in Shanghai) and inaugurating the MiM program with my incredible cohort.
