Meet the Class of 2021: Robyn Crowley (MiM’21)

Robyn Crowley (MiM’21)
Hometown: Chicago, Illinois

What are your post-graduate plans?

I will be working as a social and public sector analyst at McKinsey.

What is your favorite memory or proudest moment from your time at Georgetown?

I loved our Global Business Experience (GBE) where we got to consult for a sustainable aquaculture farm in Singapore. Even though we didn’t get to meet the client in person, it was a valuable learning experience working as a team on a long-term cross-cultural project.

What is one of the most important lessons you have learned while at Georgetown?

I learned how widely applicable a degree in business can be. I have friends going on to work in the government and social sector in addition to finance and consulting. I appreciated how Georgetown emphasized a well-rounded education so that we can go on to be successful in a variety of sectors and roles.

What was your favorite class?

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my Operations class — a subject that I never would have thought I’d find particularly interesting. Professor Ernst made sure the class was engaging online and I now can talk about Zara’s supply chain at length.

What are you most looking forward to as an alumna?

Taking advantage of the Georgetown network! I also can’t wait to visit my classmates across the country. My friends and classmates are moving all over to do such exciting things.

Anything else you’d like to share about your story?

I took advantage of the beautiful D.C. weather by doing an impromptu half marathon with a few classmates (pictured) — time spent outside of class with my cohort made this year as great as it was.
