Damon Griggs (MBA’98)

Damon Griggs is an Executive Partner with Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC where he is focused on creating the next premiere mid-tier government technology services platform. Prior to Madison Dearborn, Griggs served as the Chief Executive Officer at Dovel Technologies where he grew the business from $70M with 300 employees at the beginning of 2016, to $450M with over 2,000 employees by the end of 2021, when it was acquired by Guidehouse, a Veritas company.

Prior to Dovel, Griggs held leadership positions with several technology services providers including President and COO of InScope International, Inc., Senior Vice President at Alion Science and Technology, and Managing Principal at Washington Consulting, Inc. Griggs started his career at Arthur Andersen in the Business Consulting practice. Griggs has extensive buy and sell-side M&A experience and has led multiple successful acquisitions, integrations, and exits over his career. Griggs serves on several industry and corporate boards including the Professional Services Council (PSC), Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), Alpha Omega Integration, Bogart Associates, and Ad Hoc LLC. He volunteers with American Corporate Partners (ACP) to mentor veterans transitioning to the private sector. Griggs is a member of YPO and the Economic Club of Washington, DC. Griggs was named an Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2021 Mid-Atlantic Award winner and a finalist for the Greater Washington GovCon Executive of the Year 2021 for companies over
$300M.

Griggs received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Yale University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business with Beta Gamma Sigma honors.
