Professor Lyon is Assistant Teaching Professor in the Operations and Analytics area. He has served as a data science and analytics expert for projects ranging from survey research to global workforce development to regulatory compliance and has taught programming, analytics, data science, statistics, natural language processing, and cybersecurity in undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs. He helped launch the MS in Business Analytics (MSBA) program within McDonough School of Business and served as Assistant Director of the program for several years. He holds several industry-standard certifications in cloud computing and cybersecurity. His research focuses on work and employment relations, labor market policy, health, and data security and privacy. He earned his Ph.D. at Rutgers University and was a postdoctoral researcher in data science and survey research at Tufts University.
