PAUL Brigner

Paul Brigner is a distinguished leader in the field of technology policy and advocacy, presently serving as the Head of Policy and Strategic Advocacy at Electric Coin Co. (ECC) . In this role, he is instrumental in advancing the ECC's mission to empower economic freedom. With a career spanning over a decade in software development, culminating in a senior technical managerial role at Verizon, Mr. Brigner transitioned into policy. He has since held significant positions in notable organizations including Verizon, Internet Society, the Motion Picture Association of America, and the Chamber of Digital Commerce.

Mr. Brigner has a longstanding association with Georgetown University, managing cybersecurity and blockchain research centers and presently offering insights as an Adjunct Faculty member. Additionally, he plays a key role in guiding academic and industry collaboration as the Chair of the Industry Advisory Board at the NSF-chartered CyberSMART Research Center.

A U.S. Army veteran with an academic foundation underscored by a JD and MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University — where he was recognized as the Outstanding Computer Science Graduate — Mr. Brigner seamlessly blends technical aptitude with policy acumen, presenting a unique perspective anchored in both experience and scholastic achievement.
