StartupHoyas Law Hosts First Pitch Competition

On November 3, StartupHoyas Law held its first pitch competition, Start-Up 101, at the Georgetown University Law Center. Five teams from different schools within the university participated in the two-hour event. Jeff Reid, founding director of the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative, and David Sanders and his team of Foley Lardner attorneys, judged the competition.

Georgetown McDonough MBA students Matthew Harb, Nicholas De Gregorio, and Christian Hyland won the competition with Coyotea, a cold-brewed, all natural beverage that promotes sleep and relaxation. The Coyotea team received a cash prize of $300.

Georgetown Law Ventures’ Elaine Cheng and StartupHoyas Law Co-Presidents Sutapa Adhikari and Taylor Weaver hosted the event.
