NEW! Still Pictures of the New Building taken in March 2008
Construction of our home, located in the heart of the Georgetown campus, is due for completion in 2009. The 179,000 square-foot building will enable the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business to solidify its position as one of the world's leading business schools. The many modern features will help the school further excel in the quality of its teaching, research, student services, career management activities and connections to international business.
The new building will include:
- Increased seminar, lecture and conference room spaces
- A state-of-the-art 400-seat auditorium to host lectures as well as addresses by heads of state, cabinet officials and business leaders
- More tiered classrooms
- Increased MBA career management facilities
- More student services facilities
- Common space for students to study independently and meet for small-group projects
- More faculty offices to make room for the new faculty joining the McDonough team
- Campus views at all levels
- A striking design that complements the historic buildings of Georgetown's Main Campus
- Classrooms to house an innovative new introductory International Business Seminar for first-year undergraduate students
Students, faculty, and staff are all extremely excited about how quickly construction has progressed. We eagerly await move-in day and know that our new home will further enhance our already strong school spirit! |
