  • Georgetown Undergrad Business Program Climbs in Business Week's Rankings

    Washington, DC -- Continuing a steady upward trend for its business programs, Georgetown's undergraduate business school has risen again in the national rankings. Business Week announced its findings yesterday, moving the McDonough School of Business up to #11 from #13.

    Business Week noted particularly Georgetown's strength in finance. "Recruiters from Wall Street and well-rounded faculty make for a strong finance program," the magazine said on its web site.

    Washington, D.C. - Four sophomores in Georgetown's McDonough School of Business won top prize in the "New Ventures - the Georgetown Way" entrepreneurship competition for their proposed campus cleaning service. Called GUNK - Georgetown University No-nonsense Kleaning - the business, if actually created, would become a "custom-tailored, full service, student-run, cleaning organization" for the campus.

  • Georgetown Business Professor Recognized by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

    Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University McDonough School of Business Professor Ricardo Ernst was recently named an Outstanding American by Choice by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Ernst was one of four award recipients recognized in a ceremony with USCIS Director Emilio Gonzalez at a White House ceremony on Wednesday January 24, 2007.
