Former Nasdaq Executive Joins Georgetown's Center for Financial Markets and Policy

John Jacobs, a longtime executive at Nasdaq, is joining the Center for Financial Markets and Policy at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business as a distinguished fellow. In this role, Jacobs will share his expertise as a guest lecturer in the classroom, meet with faculty and students, and serve as a panelist at center events.

“We and our students will benefit tremendously from John Jacobs’ extensive experience in the global financial markets,” said Reena Aggarwal, Robert E. McDonough Professor of Business Administration, professor of finance, and director of the Center for Financial Markets and Policy. “Our shared objective is to engage market participants, leading academics, and policy makers in dialogue regarding critical issues relating to global finance. We look forward to welcoming John to our team.”

In his more than 30-year career at Nasdaq, Jacobs worked with institutional investors, IPOs, and top global public companies, including most recently in his roles as executive vice president of global information services and chief marketing officer. Currently, he serves as an executive advisor and principal consultant to Nasdaq’s CEO, president, and the executive vice president of global information services.

Jacobs earned an MBA from Loyola University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland at College Park.
