MBA Evening Program Students Consult in Bologna

In July, 40 Georgetown McDonough MBA students traveled to Bologna, Italy, for their Global Business Experience (GBE), as part of the culmination of the three-month course. During the trip, the students shared eight presentations with clients including Electrolux, Ferretti, and Carpigiani. Todd Lisowski, evening MBA student and acquisition manager for Naval Reactors, consulted with Automobili Lamborghini in a market entry strategy project for emerging countries. The team of students used regression analysis to create a quantitative model based on numerous metrics to rank emerging market economies.

“The entire experience was rewarding for us as we were in regular communication with senior company executives for three months,” he said. “Each of them taught us great lessons in terms of international business development and marketing operations. We were grateful to have been paired with such an iconic company.”

While visiting Lamborghini headquarters, executives from the global business development team gave students a tour of the production facility and the Automobili Lamborghini museum.

The Global Business Experience has been present in Bologna since 2014, when the first group of MBA students travelled to consult for companies such as Ducati, Piquadro, and Coccinelle.
