The Executive Master's in Leadership Program (EML) is the only degree program of its kind, offering a comprehensive treatment of leadership theory and practical application in a one-year program. The EML program integrates diverse disciplines including business, ethics, government, international relations and public policy, as well as history and behavioral sciences. It provides the conceptual knowledge and action focus that enhances an individual's ability to lead effectively and with moral purpose.
The Executive Master's in Leadership analyzes leadership as a set of skills on three integrated platforms: individual, team, and organizational. At the individual level, the focus is on developing a personal leadership action plan, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. On the team level, the focus is on negotiation and influence skills. On the organization level, the focus is on organizational and institution-building skills.
Class are held every alternate weekend, on Fridays from 1:00 pm - 8:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, on the Georgetown University campus. In addition, there are three multiple-day seminars, held at the beginning, middle and end of the program. One of those is conducted abroad.
