Teaching Professor – Accounting and Business Law

We invite applications for a Teaching Professor position in the Accounting and Business Law Area focusing on accounting analytics, financial accounting, managerial accounting, sustainability accounting, and related courses. The position carries a 15-credit-hour teaching load and comes with full benefits. The position provides a multi-year contract with the possibility of renewals based on programmatic and curricular needs and favorable performance. We seek candidates to begin teaching in the Fall 2026 semester.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Successful applicants will hold a Ph.D. and have a minimum of four years of demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching. Evidence of strong teaching performance at the graduate level is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in course design and pedagogical innovation, especially those who have integrated analytics and Generative AI tools into accounting education. Applicants should possess a solid understanding of the technologies shaping digital transformation in the accounting and finance professions. Certifications, micro-credentials, or other evidence of proficiency with analytic tools and platforms are desirable.

Assistant Professor in Ethics

The McDonough School of Business seeks to add to its ethics faculty. We have one opening for a tenure-track assistant professor of ethics to begin in the 2026-2027 academic year. We have a strong preference for applicants who are ready to teach ethics courses in the MBA and executive curriculum, as well as at the undergraduate level. McDonough’s ethics courses are an amalgam of true normative ethics with social psychology, political science, and economics. All contain an experiential aspect in which the students engage in real-time ethical decision-making. We seek a dynamic classroom teacher able to publish research that can meet McDonough’s rigorous standards for tenure.

This position I open to recent Ph.D.s in normative disciplines such as philosophy, political science, business ethics, public policy, and social science applicants researching behavioral ethics and moral psychology, as well as to recent law graduates who hold a Ph.D. in a cognate field. Compensation is highly competitive.

Tenure Track Faculty – Open Area search in Sustainability

Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in sustainability, in any field related to business, including accounting, finance, management, marketing, operations, strategy, and economics. We seek to make an appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Pending budget approval, the appointments would begin at the start of Fall 2026. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. from a business-related discipline, or expect to defend their dissertation by August 2026. We are seeking candidates with high potential or demonstrated ability for distinguished research related to sustainable business in top-tier research outlets and teaching excellence.

The school has a Business of Sustainability Initiative, and also offers several programs related to sustainable business, including the Undergraduate Sustainable Business Fellows, MBA Certificate in Sustainable Business, and an interdisciplinary M.S. in Environment and Sustainability Management degree. Teaching Professor and Executive Director of Georgetown McDonough Dubai

Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business invites applications for a full-time Teaching Professor position to teach in, support, and guide the Dubai location on a strong growth trajectory. In addition to teaching, this non-tenure line faculty member will provide administrative support for the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), Masters in International Business and Policy (IBP), and other possible future programs in the Dubai location.

This position covers 15-credits of teaching and administrative responsibilities including:

Candidates must hold a graduate degree (a Ph.D. is highly preferred) in Business or a related discipline. We are seeking dynamic candidates with demonstrated ability to successfully teach courses in the strategy, economics, international business, management, leadership and/or organization behavior space with relevant professional experience in these field(s), build relationships with key business and government entities, speak at events, and support in the running of our entrepreneurial, rapidly growing presence in the MENASA region. The successful candidate must be an outgoing relationship builder and leader who can contribute to our Dubai operations. The appointment can begin as early as August 2026. We will begin reviewing materials in November 2025 and the search process will continue until the position is filled.

Teaching Professor – Strategy, Economics, and Public Policy

The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University invites applications for a teaching professor position in Strategy and International Business. We welcome candidates from academia, business, and/or government. We especially encourage applicants who conduct research in competitive strategy, international business, or related fields, and who have either demonstrated or are capable of teaching excellence. An MS or MBA degree in management, strategy, or a related field is required; however, a Ph.D. in similar disciplines is preferred. The expected starting date of the appointment is August 2026.

Candidates should expect to teach four to five semester-equivalent courses in strategy-related subjects at the undergraduate and master’s levels. All teaching requirements will be determined by the chair of the Strategy, Economics, Ethics, and Public Policy area.

ABOUT THE STRATEGY, ECONOMICS, ETHICS, AND PUBLIC POLICY AREA

The SEEPP area includes individuals whose primary research and teaching interests lie in economics, international business, international political economy, and strategy.
