Professor Quinn is the Powers Professor of International Business at the McDonough School of Business and Professor of Government, Georgetown University. Professor Quinn specializes in international business, political economy, and public policy. His current research focuses on democratization and economic liberalization in emerging markets, the origins and consequences of international financial liberalization, the impact of trade on U.S. elections, and the determinants of exchange rate passthroughs. Recent publications include “Structural Reforms and Electoral Outcomes: Evidence from a New World-Wide Dataset,” forthcoming at the Journal of the European Economic Association (with Alesina, Fuceri, Ostry, and Papageorgiou), and “Do Exchange Rates Influence Voting?: Evidence from Elections and Survey Experiments in Democracies” forthcoming at International Organization (with Sattler and Weymouth) . He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in business, international affairs, and public policy. Prof. Quinn was previously the vice dean at the McDonough School of Business.
