Sherifah Munis is the Founder and Executive Director of the Newwave Foundation (NWF), an organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of dreamers. The Foundation’s Vision is to “Instill the Dream” in deserving students through scholarships, educational workshops, and financial literacy programs. Driven by her passion for service, Sherifah actively leads NWF in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for educational equality.
As a Certified Coach, Speaker, and Trainer, Sherifah is committed to assisting busy women in launching their first businesses or taking existing ones to new heights. With almost two decades of entrepreneurial experience while balancing roles as a wife and mother, she leverages her extensive background and enthusiasm for making a positive impact to help women with entrepreneurial aspirations clarify their career goals and align them with meaningful and fulfilling work.
Sherifah has been recognized with a Smart CEO Award for her Executive Leadership skills. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s of Art in Economics from Morgan State University, in addition to a Global Executive MBA from Georgetown University and the ESADE Business School in Spain. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys traveling and cherishes quality time with her husband and two children.
