Georgetown McDonough’s Business of Health Initiative to Host Signature Healthcare Event March 19
On March 19, 2025, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business will convene industry leaders, policymakers, and healthcare innovators for its signature Business of Health event, focusing on the theme Evolving the Healthcare System to Be Prevention-Oriented. The event, which will take place in Fisher Colloquium, will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Bruce Broussard, former CEO of Humana, who has played a pivotal role in organizing the gathering.
Broussard will participate in a fireside chat with Professor Sandeep Dahiya, director of the Business of Health Initiative, to discuss the current challenges and opportunities in healthcare. The conversation will explore critical topics such as the shift from fee-for-service to value-based care, the role of prevention in improving health outcomes, and how technology is reshaping patient engagement.
The event’s agenda includes two expert panels:
- Harnessing Technology and AI in Healthcare – Jessica Lamb, partner from McKinsey & Company, and Aneesh Chopra, chief health strategy officer at Arcadia.io, and Lynn Chou O’Keefe, founder and managing partner at Define Ventures, will examine how innovations such as artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and remote monitoring are transforming patient care.
- Contract-Based Solutions for Better Healthcare Outcomes – Featuring Sean Cavanaugh, chief policy officer at Aledade, and Eric Larsen, president at TowerBrook Advisors, this discussion will address systemic reforms and value-based payment models.
Georgetown McDonough’s Business of Health Initiative is committed to bridging the gap between business and healthcare to drive systemic change.
“This event brings together some of the most influential voices in healthcare to address one of the most pressing issues of our time—how to shift the system from reactive care to proactive prevention,” says Dahiya.
The event will conclude with a networking reception, providing attendees with an opportunity to engage with healthcare executives, policymakers, and academic leaders.
