Full-Tuition Scholarships for the Next Generation of Real Assets Leaders

As part of its commitment to developing the next generation of leaders in real assets — spanning real estate, infrastructure, and the energy transition — Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business now offers 20 full-tuition scholarships for applicants to its M.S. in Global Real Assets program.

The Steers Scholars Program at Georgetown McDonough

Scholarship recipients join the highly selective Steers Scholars Program, which recognizes top applicants to the M.S. in Global Real Assets for academic excellence, professional achievement, leadership potential, and dedication to advancing the real assets industry.

Applicants are evaluated holistically through their full program application, two dedicated scholarship essays, and two interviews by invitation.

A $10 Million Gift from Robert and Lauren Steers

The Steers Scholars Program is sustained through a $10 million philanthropic gift from Robert (B’75) and Lauren Steers to the Steers Center for Global Real Assets. Robert is a Georgetown McDonough alumnus and luminary in the real assets investment field, serving as co-founder and executive chairman of Cohen & Steers, a leading global investment manager specializing in real assets and alternative income. The endowment provides 20 full-tuition scholarships each year and funds new professorships in real estate and infrastructure to attract world-class faculty, shaping the future of real assets education and research.

“The real estate industry is undergoing a dramatic transformation toward real assets, and the Steers Center has been at the forefront of this change. The Steers Scholars Program signals to the market that real assets represent the future of investment and that Georgetown McDonough has built the preeminent academic program preparing students to lead this evolution.”
