From the Management: Operational Flexibility
Electricity is unlike most products because it cannot be stored easily. When someone flips a switch, a generator needs to respond instantaneously. This requires operational flexibility — the ability to increase or decrease supply and demand to keep them in balance. Operational flexibility keeps the lights on and enables further investment in variable renewable sources like solar and wind.
