Georgetown MSF Program Ranked #2 by College Consensus

Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business M.S. in Finance (MSF) program ranked second on a national ranking for best online master’s degree programs in finance management

The ranking, published by College Consensus, includes programs from top business schools that offer online degrees focused on finance management. They evaluate how the school performs in other top business school rankings to determine the scores.

Georgetown’s MSF combines a world-class finance curriculum – developed by accomplished McDonough School of Business faculty – with a revolutionary educational delivery method to provide rising professionals and recent undergraduates with a flexible, immersive learning experience. Our blended learning approach includes a combination of synchronous and asynchronous coursework, as well as two campus-based residencies and a global residency, that provide experiential, real-world applications of business principles.

The 21-month program is available in part-time and full-time formats and attracts an international network of finance professionals. The curriculum combines in-depth coverage of rigorous financial skills with the practical implications of those skills. Students also gain exposure to global perspectives, including the capstone Global Consulting Project course, in which students apply the knowledge they have acquired throughout the program to conduct a real-world consulting project for an international firm.

Georgetown’s MSF faculty bring a wealth of knowledge to finance education; they come from a diverse collection of backgrounds as distinguished researchers and professionals with decades of experience at leading firms. All are experienced teachers that are committed to student success.

MSF students complete the program well-positioned for success in their careers. Between the time of admission and six months after graduation, MSF graduates earned an average salary increase of 47% and 75% accepted new positions*.

In addition to the recent ranking in College Consensus, the MSF program continues to be highly placed in other rankings, including U.S. News & World Report, which bases its ranking on data provided by schools (e.g., average GMAT score of the incoming class of students, reputation ranking provided by senior leaders of other schools). U.S. News ranked the MSF program 2nd in the nation among schools with online MSF degrees.
