Senior Associate Dean for Executive Custom Programs
Professor of the Practice
Charles J. Skuba is senior associate dean for executive custom programs and professor of the practice in marketing and international business at the McDonough School of Business. In 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2010, Skuba received the Professor of the Year Student Choice Award from the Georgetown McDonough Academic Council. Skuba specializes in international trade and international marketing strategy. Prior to coming to Georgetown, he was chief of staff, market access and compliance at the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration. Previously, he had a long career in international marketing as a senior executive at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising and as an international marketing consultant with numerous large global corporations. Earlier, he worked in New York and San Francisco at Dancer Fitzgerald Sample. Skuba received an MBA in international business from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s in international affairs from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.
Associate Dean of Custom and Open Enrollment Programs
Ashley Baker is responsible for developing and implementing Georgetown McDonough’s custom programs centering on global leadership and operations, strategy, and change management for U.S. and international organizations. Baker arrived at Georgetown from Booz Allen Hamilton, where as an associate since 2006 he was responsible for program management and business development. He led client delivery teams across multiple functional disciplines and managed relationships with senior executive clients. Previously, Baker served as a startup member of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and as a communications director at the North American Securities Administrators Association. Baker also was a Presidential Management Fellow, completing assignments at the Government National Mortgage Association, U.S. Treasury Department, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and U.S. State Department.
Assistant Dean, Custom Programs
Imke Simpson is responsible for program development for Georgetown McDonough’s custom programs, centering on global leadership, strategy, FinTech, entrepreneurship, women’s leadership, and diversity and inclusion for organizations both in the U.S. and abroad.
Simpson previously worked as associate director of program management at Georgetown McDonough, managing the delivery of executive customized programs for clients such as SK Group, KPMG, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Prior to joining the team at Georgetown, Simpson developed and implemented professional exchange programs for dignitaries across the world as part of the U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program. She holds a master’s degree in international relations from Georgetown University and bachelor’s degrees in business and management as well as sociology from Albion College in Michigan.
Associate Dean of Program Management
Roberto Flores leads the team that manages the operation and delivery of custom executive education programs. His work focuses on strategically building systems and processes for executive education programs, as well as collaborative projects with multiple departments at the McDonough School of Business. In addition to managing internal projects, Flores works with clients around the world on program development and delivery with an eye always on customer satisfaction.
Previous to working at Georgetown, Flores was the director of education at a leading after-school learning center in Bethesda, Maryland. He earned a master’s degree in security studies from Georgetown’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, a master’s degree in teaching from Johns Hopkins’ School of Education, and a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
Director of Business Development
As director of business development, Kim Hunt is responsible for developing executive education programs for clients around the world. Prior to joining Georgetown, Hunt worked at Florida State University with the Center for Global Engagement where she planned and delivered special programs for international students for three years. She holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in international relations: political science and economics from the University of California San Diego.
Assistant Director of Program Management
As an assistant director of program management, Binita Raval is responsible for coordinating and executing customized executive education programs as well as internal strategic projects that measure and impact the client experience. Raval works closely with the custom team to strengthen relationships between McDonough and its clients through providing high quality service and creating transformative and valuable experiences for the participants. In 2019, Raval received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Service. Prior to joining Georgetown, Raval worked at the Institute for Defense and Business, where she planned and delivered custom education programs for the defense industry for four years. Raval holds a master’s degree in international business and policy from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and Walsh School of Foreign Service and a bachelor’s degree in political science and peace, war, and defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
As the program associate, Adam Thies is responsible for supporting the delivery of various executive custom program accounts at the McDonough School of Business. He works closely with the custom programs team to plan, develop, and maintain executive education programs. Prior to this role, Thies attended the University of Virginia, where he received a M.Ed. Previously, he has worked in the D.C. area at the Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation, and Culture. He holds a B.A. in history from the University of Illinois.
Director of Program Management
Sarah Tillotson oversees the 30+ customized executive education programs that are delivered annually at Georgetown McDonough and overseas to ensure high-level engagement and top-tier customer service for Georgetown’s clientele. She also manages her own portfolio of public and private sector clients across the globe and has delivered programs in more than 10 countries. Additionally, she is responsible for strategizing and implementing new systems and processes that enable the program management team to perform more effectively and efficiently. Prior to Georgetown, Tillotson taught English to junior high school students in Kyoto and worked as the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) program coordinator at the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C. She was responsible for liaising with the 15 Japanese consulates and for managing the processing of more than 3,000 applications each year for one of the most prominent cultural exchange programs in the world. Tillotson received a B.A. in Japanese language and literature from Connecticut College.
