Pitch Deck: Game-Changing Detergent
Adrian Abrams (C’18) turned the entrepreneurial mindset he developed on the Hilltop — where he earned a minor in entrepreneurship — into a company built around solving an everyday problem. Now an MBA student at Duke University, Abrams founded Washletics to address one of laundry’s most overlooked frustrations: activewear that still smells like sweat after washing.
The idea grew from a simple insight. People were stacking scent beads, boosters, sanitizers, vinegar, and specialty products just to get their workout clothes clean. Abrams saw an opportunity to build a detergent specifically for sweat-heavy clothes and performance fabrics. Washletics is a clean-ingredient, fragrance-free detergent designed to remove deep sweat odor from activewear without additional products.
Since launching, Washletics has generated early direct-to-consumer sales, gathered customer feedback, and earned recognition from external outlets.
For Abrams, Washletics reflects a broader belief that some of the best businesses come from innovating around “boring” problems that millions of people quietly experience. His vision is to make Washletics the trusted laundry brand for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and everyday movers who want their activewear to finally feel clean.
