#Trending: China's Virtual Private Network (VPN) Ban

In an effort to tighten control on internet content, China is cracking down on virtual private networks (VPNs). VPNs are third-party services that route internet traffic through servers in a different location than the user is currently in. The use of VPNs is relatively commonplace for private citizens and business to get around China’s “Great Fire Wall.” In this episode of #Trending, Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business experts discuss how this ban isn’t as serious as it seems.
