The Georgetown McDonough Executive MBA is now the top-ranked EMBA in the Washington region, according to the Financial Times, which places it as 7th in the United States and 42nd in the world in its 2018 Executive MBA rankings.

In addition, among U.S. schools the Georgetown program was listed as 2nd for alumni career progress, measured by increases in seniority and company size after completing the EMBA; 4th for the extent to which required courses incorporate discussions related to corporate social responsibility, social issues, or the environment; and 10th for prior work experience of incoming students.

“Our Executive MBA program is a transformative journey for each student supported by our best faculty, a cohort of outstanding peers, dedicated career coaching resources, a curriculum focused on our core strengths and lifelong learning, and a global alumni network of 190,000 Hoyas,” said Bardia Kamrad, senior associate dean of executive degree programs. “Plus, with a curriculum that’s focused on global and interdisciplinary issues, participants gain a stronger comprehension of advanced business concepts that they immediately apply to their work.”

Financial Times produces the Executive MBA ranking through surveys of alumni and business schools. Programs are evaluated on the following criteria: alumni salary figures and percentage salary increase, alumni career progress and aims achieved as a result of their degree, classroom time dedicated to corporate social responsibility, faculty research, percentage of faculty with doctorates, percentage of international and women faculty members, student work experience, percentage of international and women students, international course experience, percentage of international and women board members, and number of languages students are required to speak upon graduation.
