Bardia Kamrad Named Senior Associate Dean for Executive Degree Programs

Professor of Operations Bardia Kamrad has been appointed senior associate dean for executive degree programs at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business. In this role, he will oversee the Executive MBA, Global Executive MBA, Executive Master’s in Leadership, and Master of Arts in International Business and Policy programs.

“We are fortunate to have Bardia leading our executive degree programs,” said Paul Almeida, dean of Georgetown McDonough. “His experience in the classroom, his work with program development, his scholarship, and his relationships with colleagues in other parts of the university make him an excellent fit for the job.”

Kamrad’s work in executive education began 23 years ago when he was one of the founders of the Executive MBA program. Over the years, he also has served as its academic director and co-director of the opening residency program. He will continue to teach in the EMBA core curriculum and MBA elective courses.

Kamrad also has served as the operations and information management area coordinator (a role he will continue), as chair or a member of the MBA and EMBA curriculum committees, and as chair or a member of dean and provost search committees. He has been honored with multiple awards for teaching excellence and university service, as well as for his academic research. He has published extensively in Management Science, Operations Research, Naval Research Logistics, IIE Transactions, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and the European Journal of Operational Research, among many others.
