Jonathan Stroud

Jonathan Stroud is Associate Professor of Operations and Information Management in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He previously served on the statistics faculty at the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and George Washington University. He earned his PhD in Statistics from Duke University and served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory. His main research interests include Bayesian statistics, spatial statistics, spatio-temporal modeling, statistical computing, stochastic volatility, and applications in environmental science, finance and medicine.

He has numerous publications in leading statistics, finance and geophysics journals, including Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society-Series B, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Geophysical Research, and Monthly Weather Review.
