Peter Martin Jaworski is Teaching Professor of Strategy, Ethics, Economics, and Public Policy at the McDonough School of Business, and director of the Georgetown Blood and Plasma Research Group. He teaches Ethical Values of Business to undergraduates and Ethical Leadership to MBAs, Executive MBAs, Master’s in Management, and Master’s in Global Real Assets students. He was a Visiting Research Professor at Brown University, and has taught at UVA School of Law, the College of Wooster, and Bowling Green State University.
Peter’s primary research is on the ethics and economics of blood plasma collection and patient access to the therapies made from plasma. His work on plasma has been cited or quoted in venues like The New York Times, The Economist, NPR, TIME, NBC News, The Washington Post, CBC News, The Globe and Mail, National Post, Bloomberg, Business Insider, and others.
He is a member of the Network of Experts for the International Primary Immunodeficiency Patient Organisation, and is ethics advisor for United Plasma Action. His work on plasma sufficiency and patient access was recognized by the World and Egyptian Federation of Hemophilia in 2025.
Peter is the 2026 recipient of the Plasma Hero Award from the Immune Deficiency Foundation. The award is given out every other year and recognizes an individual who “significantly raise awareness of the urgent need for plasma donation, particularly for those with Primary Immunodeficiency.”
Peter's academic work has been published in Ethics, Philosophical Studies, The Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence, The Journal of Business Ethics, The Journal of Value Inquiry, Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, amongst others.
