Georgetown MBA Students Participate in GE Case Competition
Georgetown University McDonough School of Business MBA students Matthew Herring, Teresa Delgado, Steven DasGupta, and Peter Harris participated in the 2012 GE Experienced Commercial Leadership Program MBA Case Competition in New York October 12th. The team competed against other MBA teams from Cornell University, Carnegie Mellon, MIT and host school Columbia University. The competition brought together teams of students from five top MBA programs who had been pre-selected in an on-campus Round Zero process to represent their schools in New York.

Undergrad Student Venture Voted D.C.’s ‘Hottest Start-up’
Encore, a marketing company founded by Georgetown University McDonough School of Business seniors James Li, Michael Hauser, and Michael Dee, and freshman Tammy Cho , was voted “D.C.’s Hottest Start-up” among 25 competitors at the DCWEEK Mixer & Startup Showcase organized by tech media company Tech Cocktail.

MBA Students Reach Goal of 1000 Hours of Service
This year marks the Georgetown McDonough MBA Volunteer Club's second annual Month of Volunteerism (MOV). This club organizes community service projects across a broad range of opportunities and organizations with a goal for Georgetown McDonough to reach 1,000 service hours in November. As of November 19, the McDonough community has contributed more than 1,000 hours, secured nearly 100 events, and worked with more than 60 organizations.

MBA Student Gives Back to Hometown
Despite being busy with coursework, Robert Johnson, an MBA student at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, has been traveling back to his hometown of Staten Island, N.Y., to volunteer with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
