U.S. News & World Report continues to rate the Georgetown McDonough MBA among the nation’s best graduate business programs, with the Full-time MBA ranking 25th and the MBA Evening Program ranking 11th. The school also is ranked 11th for international business.
“This is an exciting time for Georgetown’s MBA programs, as we continue to design innovative new offerings for our students that better prepare them for success after graduation,” said Prashant Malaviya, senior associate dean for MBA programs. “In the past year we have added a Leadership Fellows program, an MBA Certificate in Consumer Analytics and Insights, and the Executive Challenge – all in service to creating a meaningful experience and education for our students.”
For the Full-time MBA, U.S. News considers assessments by other business school deans and employers, as well as admissions and employment data for 2017. This year, Georgetown McDonough received its highest recruiter score, placing 17th in that category. The program also posted its largest starting salary and bonus in school history, and the percentage of MBAs employed three months after graduation advanced 14 positions over the previous year – outscoring five of the ranking’s top 10 schools.
U.S. News gathers a different set of criteria for its part-time MBA rankings: assessments by other business school deans; average GMAT score, undergraduate GPA, and work experience; and the percentage of the entire MBA student body enrolled part time. This year, the MBA Evening Program earned its highest peer assessment score from other deans, and the average GMAT score is the 12th best in the country.
