To increase grassroots engagement and inspire progress, McDonough’s leadership committees are charged with improving the student co-curricular experience and classroom environment for faculty and students.

Inclusive Student Engagement Committee
The Inclusive Student Engagement Committee comprises faculty and staff. The committee was created to review students’ sense of belonging and understand the inclusionary actions required to improve the McDonough School of Business community. Convening for their first meeting in September 2023, the committee has since examined current efforts to create inclusive environments for students in the classroom and co-curricular activities. The committee advises the dean of the McDonough School of Business.

Inclusive Pedagogy Committee
The Inclusive Pedagogy Committee comprises faculty and staff. The committee was established to review teaching practices and recommend inclusive practices to ensure all students at the McDonough School of Business can learn in welcoming environments. The committee convened for the first time in October 2023 and has since reviewed existing teaching practices and recommended pedagogical changes via a series of workshops. The committee advises the dean of the McDonough School of Business.
