Georgetown’s Master’s in Management Program Welcomes New Cohort of Students
Georgetown McDonough’s Master’s in Management (MiM) program recently welcomed a new cohort of students ready to build the technology and innovation skills to take the next step in their business careers.
The Class of 2026 is made up of 123 students, with an average age of 24. Nearly 60% of the incoming class has international citizenship, reflecting McDonough’s commitment to fostering a globally-engaged community.
“This new cohort of students brings an impressive range of experiences and perspectives, which creates a dynamic learning environment that enriches the classroom and the global business community,” said Kenneth Sawka, associate teaching professor and MiM academic director. “We are delighted to welcome the Class of 2026 and look forward to seeing what they achieve during their time at Georgetown and beyond.”
Designed for students who recently earned a bachelor’s degree, the MiM degree is a 10-month, full-time, STEM-designated program that helps rising professionals develop the business, management, and technology skills necessary to succeed in a variety of industries. The curriculum incorporates a tech and innovation focus and extensive hands-on learning opportunities, including the signature Global Business Experience, where students collaborate with international executives to address a real-world business challenge.
“At Georgetown McDonough, our mission is to equip students with the skills to thrive in a rapidly changing global business environment while making a positive contribution,” said Nita Swinsick, associate dean for graduate and executive program admissions at Georgetown McDonough. “Our MiM program offers an unparalleled opportunity for students to gain the practical knowledge and global perspective to launch an impactful career.”
MiM students benefit from a dedicated career services team that provides one-on-one career coaching, career workshops, curriculum, networking opportunities, and access to Georgetown’s worldwide network of alumni. Graduates of the program are prepared to work in a variety of industries, including consulting, financial services, technology, and consumer goods and retail. 91% of graduates in the Class of 2024 received a job offer within six months of graduation, with top employers such as Amazon, Capital One, EY, Goldman Sachs, and the World Bank Group.
