Why did you choose Georgetown?

I attended Georgetown as an undergraduate and absolutely love this university. I was looking to attend a program in Washington, D.C., and I really appreciate Georgetown’s international focus and Jesuit values.

What is your favorite memory or proudest moment from your time at Georgetown?

I worked as a tutor during my second year in the MBA program. I supported students in two courses: Statistics and Analytical Problem Solving (a challenging Excel-based analytical course). I found this experience incredibly rewarding, as I got to know this hard-working group of students, and it was fun to share what I had learned during my first year.

What is one of the most important lessons you have learned while at Georgetown?

Keep an open mind. People around you will always have differing opinions, so hearing every voice in the room will help you create the best products and make the best decisions.

Is there a particular person that helped shape your Georgetown experience into what it is today?

I was lucky enough to take Valuations with Lee Pinkowitz, associate professor of finance. He is incredibly dedicated to his work and goes out of his way to support his students. While I learned a lot in his class and got more comfortable with financial valuation techniques, I most appreciated his open-minded, curious, inclusive approach to teaching. When I reflect back on my experience at McDonough, I am inspired by his commitment to his work and the incredible value that he adds to the program.

What was your favorite class?

Financial Markets and Crises.

What are you most looking forward to as an alumna?
