Meet the Class of 2021: Rosie Cheng (MiM’21)
Rosie Cheng (MiM’21)
Hometown: Auckland, New Zealand
What are your post-graduate plans?
I’m going to begin working at an accounting firm as a financial consultant, which is exciting! I’m ready to jump into the real world post-grad and put everything I’ve learned here to use. Aside from that, I also want to travel and enjoy freedom for a bit!
What is your favorite memory or proudest moment from your time at Georgetown?
My favorite memory from my time at Georgetown is being able to finally meet my Zoom friends in real life! We got to know each other online, but it was so weird and exciting meeting them in person.
What is one of the most important lessons you have learned while at Georgetown?
I think the most important lesson I learned at Georgetown is to tackle challenges head on. There were many classes that were super tough, but I managed to keep moving forward. Its also showed me the importance of a great team. I wouldn’t have made it here without their support throughout the program!
Is there a particular person that helped shape your Georgetown experience?
I would say all of the professors really shaped my experience. It was hard being completely online and isolated, but the professors made it very interactive and made me feel like I was a part of Georgetown! I also think my teammates (shoutout to Team 8!) shaped my experience here as well.
What was your favorite class?
Supply chains with Professor Ernst.
What are you most looking forward to as an alumna?
I’m looking forward to entering the real world and starting a new chapter. I’m also looking forward to building connections with other alums.
