Jack Gierhart (MBA’93)

Jack Gierhart is an accomplished executive with over 25 years of experience leading national nonprofit and Olympic sport organizations through strategic, cultural, and governance transformations. He has successfully increased revenues through membership growth, fundraising and sponsorship, and establish high performance cultures.
 
He currently serves as President and CEO of U.S. Biathlon, where he has driven operational improvements, increased revenue by 20%, and help lead the team to two World Championship medals.
 
Previously, Jack was Interim CEO of USA Fencing, stabilizing the organization during a leadership transition and launching key DEIB, education, and fundraising initiatives. He also spent a decade as CEO of US Sailing and President of the US Sailing Foundation, where he led major organizational restructuring, drove a 45% revenue increase, and expanded grassroots and youth programs nationwide.
 
Earlier in his career, Jack held executive roles at Nautor’s Swan and IBM’s Lotus Development, earning the IBM Vice President Award for Distinguished Achievement. He holds an MBA from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, completed graduate studies at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan, and earned a BA in Economics from Tulane University.
 
A passionate outdoor enthusiast, Jack lives in Marion, MA and spends time alpine and backcountry skiing, hiking, sailing, and cycling. He lives in Marion, MA with his wife, one of their two daughters and son. He is active in nonprofit leadership for several local organizations.
