This is an exciting time at the McDonough School of Business. We are proud to welcome students, parents, faculty, staff, and alumni to the new Rafik B. Hariri Building, which houses state-of-the-art classrooms, break-out rooms, conference space, faculty offices, and the Undergraduate Program Office. To accompany the opening of this impressive addition to the Georgetown campus, we are in the midst of innovative revisions to the undergraduate curriculum, which will expand nonprofit consulting opportunities, enhance student community, and raise awareness of internships and social entrepreneurship career paths.
The curriculum at the McDonough School of Business reflects and builds on the mission of Georgetown University. As a school within the Georgetown academic community, we aim to produce lifelong learners, who are intelligent, ethical, and socially responsible civic leaders. In the spirit of Georgetown,we focus on educating the student holistically by emphasizing academic excellence and integrity, interreligious understanding, and civic and community outreach.
Our faculty and the Undergraduate Program staff are committed to collaborating to develop and provide curricular and co-curricular programs that foster academic excellence, create community among students, and encourage students to view an undergraduate business education as broad-based academic preparation for a future as a global leader in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. I hope that as undergraduates, you will make the most of your Georgetown education and be an active participant in life here at the McDonough School of Business.
