The Practitioner Speaker Series is a program that enhances students’ skills in practical research methods and connects them with leading experts in consumer behavior.

The Georgetown Institute for Consumer Research offers this series every semester, featuring guest speakers who share their insights and experiences on various topics such as the role of AI in marketing, behavioral economics, decision making, social influence, e-commerce, and customer journey. The series aims to enrich the students’ learning experience, broaden their perspectives, and advance their academic and professional success.

AI & Marketing

The Georgetown Institute for Consumer Research invited two practitioners, Durga Bobba, VP at GSK and Tarun Thammala, CEO at PressW, for  a panel discussion about the role of artificial intelligence in the marketing industry. The discussion was moderated by Kelly Lee, assistant teaching professor and managing director of Georgetown Institute for Consumer Research.Panelists shared their insights on the rapid rise of AI, how it’s being implemented in their respective firms, and how they see the trend developing in the future.
